Samsung has announced that it is heavily investing in wearable computers to compete with Google Glass and Apple’s hush hush iWatch.

Samsung made the announcement the other day at the Mobilebeat conference in San Francisco. “Eventually you won’t even know you’re wearing the device, it could be the fabric in your clothing, your glasses or your watch,” said Samsung Chief Strategy Officer Young Sogn. Samsung showed audiences a concept video with their vision of how wearable technologies could be used. The beginning of the video shows a bendable mobile device that can transform from a tablet to a phone.

The video also shows a disposable sensor that is put on the skin like a sticker that can take health data by using radio frequency waves. Sogn also talked about how these devices would help you connect to the cloud, identify you, pay for things and replace credit cards.

Samsung is also believed to be working on a watch to compete with the rumored iWatch from Apple. Some are speculating Samsung’s smartwatch may be called “Gear”. Enthusiasts think that both Apple and Samsung’s watches will connect to mobile phones and offer similar capabilities, like showing emails and downloading apps.

As wearable technology develops, Samsung believes their devices could become part of the clothing you are wearing. Just think of how easier our lives will become.
